He previously served as CEO at 80,000 Hours, Interim CEO at Effective Ventures (UK), and Interim Managing Director for Global Catastrophic Risks at Coefficient Giving. In a previous life he was a paralegal at the New York District Attorney’s Office and a Research Assistant at the Brookings Institution. He has a BA in Mathematical Economics and Social Studies from Wesleyan University.
